The challenge
Packaging runs on contracts: paper and film supply deals with index-linked pricing, retail and hospitality customers who send their own paper, and logistics agreements at every site. The volume is high and the terms rarely match.
Regulation keeps moving too. UK EPR fees, the EU’s packaging regulation (PPWR), food-contact rules and PFAS limits all change what EP Group can promise.
The team wanted AI help, but not if it meant sending pricing terms to someone else’s model.
“Our pricing terms with customers are the most sensitive documents we hold. We weren’t going to put them through somebody else’s model to find out how it handles them.” says Elena Marsh, General Counsel.
The solution
Conqr runs ConqrLLM inside EP Group’s cloud, fine-tuned on the team’s signed agreements, fallbacks and playbooks. EP Group owns the weights, and lawyers use it where they already work.

Results
15 hours back per lawyer, every week. First-pass review and redlining now run through Conqr.
3 days, not 12. Agreements close four times faster.
About 60 contracts a month get first-pass review, with no new hires.
Nothing leaves EP Group’s cloud. Documents, embeddings and weights stay under keys EP Group controls.
